Teen Facials

Skin in your teens behaves differently than skin at any other age, and it usually needs less than the internet says it does.

A teen facial at Skin Restore is a proper professional treatment, not a scaled-down adult facial. We clear congestion safely, calm what's inflamed, and send you home with a routine short enough that you'll actually keep to it.

By appointment onlyTuesday – Saturday, 10am – 6pm

What happens in the appointment

A look at what's actually going on. Different kinds of breakouts need different handling. We work out which you have before treating anything.

Deep cleansing. A thorough double cleanse, then gentle warming to soften the skin and loosen what's in the pores.

Professional extractions. This is the part that matters most. Clearing blackheads and congestion properly — with sterile tools, correct pressure and the right angle — removes the blockage without the bruising, broken capillaries and scarring that come from doing it at home in front of a mirror.

A calming finish. A mask suited to your skin, then a light moisturizer and SPF.

A routine you'll follow. Three or four products, not twelve. We'll show you how to use them and explain what each one is for.

What it helps with

  • Blackheads and congestion, especially across the nose and forehead
  • Whiteheads and surface breakouts
  • Oily or shiny skin
  • Skin that's become irritated from too many products
  • Early breakouts, before they become a bigger pattern

For parents

Appointment length: About 45 minutes, plus time to talk through home care.

A parent or guardian should attend the first appointment. You'll get the same explanation your teen does, so you both know what the plan is and what the products are for.

We don't upsell to teenagers. The home care we recommend is deliberately minimal, and we'll say plainly when something isn't necessary. Most teen skin gets worse from over-treatment, not under-treatment.

On expectations: consistent, visible improvement usually takes eight to twelve weeks, with monthly appointments alongside a daily routine. Anyone promising clear skin faster than that isn't being straight with you.

When a dermatologist is the right call: if your teen has deep, painful cystic acne — the kind that sits under the skin for weeks and leaves marks — that generally needs prescription medication, and treating it topically wastes months while scarring forms. We'll tell you if that's what we're seeing and refer you. We're happy to handle the esthetic side alongside a dermatologist's care.

Pricing

Pricing is confirmed at your consultation, once we've looked at the skin and agreed on a plan. Call (949) 545-7919 and we'll talk it through.

Common questions

How old is a teen facial for?

Roughly 12 to 18. Younger is fine too if there's congestion to treat — give us a call and we'll advise.

Will extractions hurt?

There's some pressure and it can be briefly uncomfortable around the nose. It's very manageable, and we stop if anyone wants a break.

Will my teen's face be red afterwards?

Mild redness for an hour or two where extractions were done. Nothing that needs hiding.

How often should they come in?

Monthly works well and lines up with the skin's natural turnover cycle.

What if they won't stick to a routine?

That's exactly why we keep it to three or four products. A routine that gets followed beats a better routine that doesn't.

Do you treat back and chest breakouts?

Yes — those areas are treated separately from the face. Mention it when you book so we can allow the time.
